Dr. Frederick Coville has a unique background of training and experience. He has professionally traveled extensively as an international lecturer and teacher while working side-by-side with some of the most prestigious names in plastic surgery in the United States and overseas in countries such as Norway, Holland, Belgium, Russia, Mexico, and Brazil, Spain, the entire Caribbean, including Puerto Rico. While in the Caribbean, he served as the associate director and plastic surgeon at the Bougainvillea Clinic in the British Virgin Islands. His peers elected him to serve as president of the British Virgin Islands Medical and Dental Association. With his experience as a Burn Fellow and serving as a primary care physician in several underserved populations, he has a broad base of experience, knowledge, and compassion, which has molded him into a well-rounded and caring physician. Dr. Fred Coville has been an organizer and faculty member of the influential Annual BVI Workshop in Plastic Surgery for many years. This long-standing conference has attracted aesthetic and reconstructive surgeons the world over to share the latest advances and techniques in the field.

During his travels, Dr. Coville has treated and operated on patients worldwide for reconstructive and aesthetic purposes. Over the years, he developed a special interest in reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery and performed the first microvascular free flap reconstruction in Southern New Jersey to great success. Dr. Coville’s expertise in all forms of breast surgery allowed him to serve the entire Eastern Caribbean as the sole reconstructive Plastic Surgeon from 1996 to 2006. During that time, he performed countless breast reductions, breast reconstructions after mastectomy, surgeries for congenital deformities of the breast, and aesthetic procedures such as breast lifts and breast augmentations. Dr. Fred Coville is also well known and receives many referrals for his work in correcting and revising flawed results from prior breast surgeries performed elsewhere. He is well known for delivering superb cosmetic results for all his patients.

 Dr. Frederick A. Coville founded his current plastic surgery practice in Southern New Jersey in 2010, which has flourished and provides world-class plastic surgery to the region. Patients travel from great distances regionally, nationally, and abroad to avail themselves of his advanced techniques for breast augmentation, breast reduction, revision breast reconstructive surgery, congenital breast deformity correction, and male mastectomy for gynecomastia.  His skills leave minimal scarring, no surgical drains in most cases, and rapid recovery,  all while providing exceptional functional and aesthetic results.

Dr. Fred Coville believes that everyone has an inner foundational beauty and uses his artistic eye and surgical expertise to help patients uncover their best selves, often saying, “It’s my job to help you find Your Beautiful!” Beyond medicine, he is an entrepreneur, world traveler, fluent Spanish speaker, percussion enthusiast, and aspiring novelist, but he considers his greatest role to be a devoted husband and father to his two young sons.
